The window shuts on time
Every draw closes at its published date and time — no extensions, whatever has sold.
A draw no one can nudge. Not even us.
Every Myton draw — the Friday lotto and every special — follows the same published, checkable process. Here it is in plain English.
The five steps of every draw
The order matters: the entry list is locked and fingerprinted before the draw runs, so nothing can be added, removed or reshuffled afterwards.
2 · The list is locked
Fingerprint published
The full entry list is frozen, in a fixed order, and its digital fingerprint (a hash) is published before anything is drawn. Change one ticket — or the order — and the fingerprint would no longer match.
3 · The draw runs
A published random method
The winning ticket is chosen by a random method that was published before tickets went on sale, using a random seed sealed in advance and revealed with the result. No one — including us — can influence which ticket comes out.
4 · Four eyes check
Two staff, independently
Two members of Myton staff independently confirm the result before it is released. Neither can act alone.
5 · Published that evening
Result + verification info
The result and everything needed to verify it are published the same evening, and the record is permanent.

Winners contacted directly
We start phoning or emailing winners the same evening; everyone is reached within two working days. You never need to check or claim — see the winners archive.
Check it yourself
You don’t have to take our word for any of this. Anyone can take the published entry-list fingerprint and the published draw record, re-run the check, and confirm the winning ticket for themselves.
That is what “provably fair” means: the proof is public, not a promise.
A worked example — the Friday 31 July draw
- Before entries closed, we published the draw’s commitment — the fingerprint of a secret seed, chosen in advance:

4e6a 1f09 b3c5 8d27 … 77c3. Hash it yourself and it matches the commitment from step 1 — proving it was fixed before anyone knew the entries. - Seed + locked list → the winners. Feeding both into the published method picks 08871 and the twenty runner-ups — exactly the numbers on the results page. Same inputs, same winners, every time anyone runs it.
Example figures from the demo result. In the real build, every draw’s commitment, locked-list fingerprint, seed and method will be downloadable from its result page, so anyone can run this check.
Every past result lives in the winners archive — published the same evening, kept for good.
